Questions
What is the last posting date for Christmas 2026 in the UK?
Royal Mail's own last recommended posting dates for UK delivery before Christmas 2026: 2nd Class by Fri 18 Dec 2026; 1st Class by Mon 21 Dec 2026; Special Delivery by Wed 23 Dec 2026. Dates can change, so check Royal Mail's page before you post.
When should I order personalised gifts for Christmas?
Earlier than ordinary gifts, because each one is made to order. Engraved, embroidered and photo items usually need a few extra working days on top of delivery. We add each shop's 2026 personalised cut-off here as soon as it publishes one.
Where do these dates come from?
Each date is taken from the shop's or carrier's own Christmas delivery page, linked on its row, and shows the day we last checked it. If a shop hasn't published 2026 dates yet we say so and show last year's dates as a guide only. We don't use dates from blogs or guess them.
Do last order dates apply to the Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland?
Usually not. Most shops give earlier cut-offs for the Scottish Highlands and islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. The dates on this page are for UK mainland addresses; check the shop's own page for other areas.
What if I miss the last order date?
Look for click and collect, which often runs until 23 or 24 December, or a gift card or e-voucher, which can be sent the same day. Express or named-day delivery usually buys one or two more days at extra cost.
Dates are for UK mainland addresses and can change, so confirm on the shop's site before you order. Links to shops' delivery pages are not paid for. DealComparer may earn a commission on other links on this site.
